We are in the process of putting together a ride operation, using the incredible Slider hovercraft. Rides will be $10 per person for about 10 minutes of wild flying and cool spins over water, ice, fields, and other places in and around Peterborough. Pacific Hovercraft Co. of New Zealand has finally designed a fun and safe hovercraft specifically for leisure and ride use. |

Rides will be on various lakes and fields in the area. Ideally we want to be on Little Lake, Rice Lake, Chemong Lake, and high school football fields, Morrow Park field, and other open spaces. Once the craft arrives, Peterborough Hovercraft will be in operation full time, 12 months a year. We will also be involved in promotions and fundraising for charities, churches, sports groups, and other businesses to bring you exciting events and specials. |

We are currently in discussion with many businesses, the city, school boards, and other groups to bring the thrills and benefits of this operation to as many people as we can. Please be aware there is no legal private hovercraft insurance in Canada (other than fire/theft, which doesn't allow you to operate one). Unlike boats, snowmobiles, ATVs, and jet-skis, Slider leaves no track, creates no wake, and has no submerged motor. Because of this, it doesn't leach oil, gas, rust, or heat into the water, doesn't erode shorelines, and isn't loud like an ATV! Hovercraft are preferred for environmental, geological, and rescue work all over the world. |
